As I mentioned before, East Main people never "idle" around.
We either
Party ! Party ! Party !
or
Buy ! Buy ! Buy !
&
Eat ! Eat ! Eat !
Just look at the dishes we prepared for CNY 1983 !
We have cold-dish..... Shark-fin Gumbo...... Guo-Hiong ( five smells.. )......satay....curry chicken....
roasted pork ( ah Oh's specialty )..... lor-duck ( ah Sia specialty )....."black-soup" ( ah mike's original super tonic soup ! ) and a lot more !
Something always amazed me is that we are capable of "producing" typical Malaysian local favourites dishes in a small town located at the Southern part of USA, call Lafayette !

I forgot our "part-time" Spiker......Reuben, who was East Main "regular customer" & very good old friend. Bcos he was working part-time and therefore can only join Flip Flop as part-time player !
When the tournament was over, Reuben got married to his sweet-heart, Deborah.
We attended his grand wedding.

Players : Ah Teh, Ah Oh, NG, GS, SL & Low Sai
Even Luan-Mian-Mian ( soft soft & gentle gentle ) Ah-Gan also participated...
( see the picture.....I am not too sure she was chasing the ball or kena chase by the ball ! )
of course I hold the most important job.....
I carry drinks , buy water-melons and take photos !!

EM family members are " all-rounded " !
We never sit around and " idle".
We will do all kind of silly things except one serious thing........ STUDY !

Fall 1983, EM formed a volleyball team and we called ourself " Flip-Flop " ( bcos Ah-Teh was then studying Digital Electronic on topic of Flip-Flop ).
We participated in the USL International Mix-Volleyball Tournament 1983. We took the tournament very seriously bcos the Champion team will be "handsomely" rewarded .....
with 10 USL t-shirt !!
We trained exorbitantly hard every evening and we have debrief session every night from
8 to 11pm ! ( see...where got time to study ?? )
As the team manager, I remember I always bought them two big water-melons during the debrief so as to motivate ( or rather bribe them ) to train harder the next day.
when the matches start.....
We " killed " the South-African team... then the Middle-East team .... the Mexican team ....
and guess who was our final rival ??
It was another Malaysian Team lead by our grand old senior, Tony Lim !!
It was really a tough fight.......
everybody got injured here & there ....
but eventually we won the fifth game and we , East Main Flip-Flop emerged as the overall
CHAMPION !!

& one very good thing abt me is that
I always share goodies with all my buddies ....
so I proudly shared my PLAYBOY with Ah-Oh, Ah-Chin, Ah-Teh, NG, & Ah-Sia.......
when I wanted to share with this Ah-Koon the time, he smiled & told me
" you are so outdated.....see.... I have upgraded to Hustler !! "
I looked at his damn innocent " eyeless " smile ( when ah-Koon smile,
you can hardly tell where his eyes are... ! ), then I told myself
" certainly you can not judge a book by its cover !!! "

Mike Please identify is this the same man that Attack you 20 years ago??? PuTOh have to Pull a 5 ton guy from attack you. It all started from people who don't live there at all. I don't really remember which yow, I only remember tuapuiyao!!!!! If this is the wrong guy, we might have to put up an apology tomorrow! STATED we are drunk! and mistaken the wrong YOW!

sometimes I really wonder how this little mouse can made it .....
she was eating kachang puteh and watching TV 24x7 !
anyway, I read a scientific article somewhere stating that if you eat a lot of kachang puteh,
then it will supply hell lot of protein to your backside ( of the brain ) and make you damn intelligent...

E Mainners go Florida !!

Two wonder suspects were arrested with a connection to a dead of a man ! According to eyewithnesses from Emainners, these two suspect were seen hanging around the Ridley's Believe it-or-not Muzium playing with the ancient solder's "golf-balls" ......

However, the accused claimed that they heard some funny noise of runing tab and were without hesitation, forcing open the window trying to close the tap to save the floor from flooding.....but then when the window was opened, they saw a man lying in the bath tub and they just screamed !

the 78 naked old man died of heart-attack upon seeing the two girls barging in to the bath room from the window .....
